Senior DevOps Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure | Remote | Philippines)

Role Summary: 

As a Senior DevOps Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure), you’ll architect, implement, and maintain scalable cloud environments on AWS or Azure. 
You’ll lead infrastructure automation, streamline deployments through CI/CD, and partner with developers and SREs to deliver secure, resilient, and efficient systems. 
You’ll also drive infrastructure improvements, reduce manual work through automation, and ensure that our deployments are fast, repeatable, and reliable. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Design and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS or Azure, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. 

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as AWS CDK, Terraform, or similar. 

• Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI. 

• Deploy and manage containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes. 

• Automate routine tasks and environment provisioning using Python, Bash, or 

TypeScript. 

• Collaborate with developers and SREs to deliver reliable production systems. 

• Optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency and performance. 

• Contribute to system monitoring, logging, and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, 

OpenTelemetry, or SigNoz. 

• Participate in incident management and on-call rotations, ensuring system uptime and quick recovery. 

Must-Have Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience. 

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) roles. 

• Proven expertise with AWS or Azure cloud environments. 

• Hands-on experience with IaC tools (AWS CDK, Terraform, Pulumi, etc.). 

• Strong background in CI/CD pipeline management and automation. 

• Skilled in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). 

• Scripting experience in Python, Bash, or TypeScript. 

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset. 

Nice-to-Have Skills: 

• Startup or scale-up experience comfortable building from the ground up. 

• Familiarity with distributed systems and advanced networking concepts. 

• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, SigNoz). 

• Contributions to open-source DevOps or infrastructure projects. 

• Cloud certifications such as AWS DevOps Engineer or Azure DevOps Solutions Expert. 

Reporting Line and Working Pattern: 

• Reports to: Head of Infrastructure or Engineering Manager 

• Fully remote, Philippines-based position. 

• Work schedule: US hours (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST). 

• Participation in on-call rotations for critical incidents.
