Job Summary:
We are seeking a data-driven and collaborative Data Analyst to join our team, focused on uncovering insights that drive product growth and enhance user experience. In this role, you will analyze user behavior, define key metrics, and support strategic decisions with actionable data insights. You'll partner closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure robust data instrumentation and seamless integration of analytics into product development. Your work will directly influence roadmap prioritization, feature adoption, and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Product Insights & Analytics
- Analyze user behavior across the product to uncover patterns, friction points, and opportunities.
- Define, track, and report on key product metrics (e.g., activation, retention, engagement).
- Perform deep-dive analyses on new feature adoption, A/B test results, and product experiments.
Data Modeling & Instrumentation
- Partner with engineers and product managers to define and validate tracking requirements (e.g., event naming, tagging plans).
- Ensure accurate data collection through tools like Segment, Pendo, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or GA.
- Monitor data quality and work with teams to resolve inconsistencies.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Translate business questions into structured analyses and communicate findings clearly.
- Create dashboards and self-serve tools to enable data access across teams.
- Work closely with product teams to embed insights into roadmap and feature decisions.
Strategic Decision Support
- Support product strategy with market benchmarking, customer segmentation, and cohort analyses.
- Help prioritize product opportunities based on quantitative impact and user need.
Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years in a product analytics, business intelligence, or similar data role.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, Javascript, and experience with analytics tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Pendo, Amplitude).
- Understanding of user lifecycle metrics and product analytics concepts.
- Strong communication skills — able to clearly explain complex findings to non-technical audiences.
Preferred:
- Experience in SaaS or B2B product environments.
- Familiarity with A/B testing design and interpretation.
- Exposure to event-based tracking tools (e.g., Segment, Snowplow, RudderStack).
- Comfortable working in agile environments and partnering with cross-functional teams.
